FAQ'S

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

• Food intolerance occurs when the body does not produce adequate enzymes to digest a particular food.

• Some symptoms include: Sensitivity to food additives, irritable bowel syndrome, recurring stress or psychological factors, and lactose intolerance.

• Food sensitivity is an immune-mediated response to some foods that may change over time. Food sensitivities can be triggered by environmental allergens and some medications cross reactivity within food groups.

•  Food allergies are common and occur when the body responds to food proteins with an abnormal IgE mediated hypersensitivity. Such sensitivity may impact numerous bodily organs. Wide ranges of symptoms could potentially follow.

• Many young children have food allergies that they usually outgrow over time.

• It's important to note that a food intolerance can cause some of the same signs and symptoms as a food allergy. People often confuse the two.

Yes, you can! However, it can be very difficult to identify the food(s) that are linked to the symptoms. IgG food sensitivities are typically a delayed reaction which means the symptoms may not appear for days, making it hard to identify the foods. Elimination diets are based on guesswork and can take a lot longer to determine which foods are causing the issue.

However, a IgG Food Intolerance Test report provides quantitative results that can be used to help design an elimination diet. Firstly, eliminate foods with the highest results. Secondly, reintroduce foods with the lower results on the testing scale.

We recommend retesting within 6-12 months after your initial test if symptoms have not improved.

The IgG Food Intolerance test takes approximately 5 minutes to obtain your sample. Once your sample has been received by the lab, it will take the scientific team 5-10 working days to process your results.
